What Our Clients Say:

Thank you for your essential role in bringing our new head to Tilton School. We couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome! Your expertise and guidance coupled with your dedication and your flair for working with the candidates were invaluable.” Sarah Bird, Search Committee Co-Chair

“We have supported the search process all along and we now wholeheartedly support the excellent choice that this process has brought about. We are grateful to you and the whole search committee for the huge commitment of time and effort that has been invested in the search. We are also grateful for the discernment and good judgment that has obviously been exercised throughout. There is no way to put a value on this.” Outgoing School Head

“On behalf of the committee and myself I would like to thank you and your associate, Hope Prockop, for all the work you did and the terrific candidates you brought us. I don’t think we could have chosen better or more professional consultants to work with – once again – thank you.” Search Committee Chair

This was a highly professional process, well noted by our stakeholders and we owe that standard to you.
You have a ready reference at San Domenico! Glenn Snyder, Search Committee Chair

“Thank you for your outstanding work on Marvelwood’s behalf. The process was very professional and the results were excellent. You led the Search Committee along very carefully but always made sure that it was our work project not yours; not an easy task to achieve. I deeply appreciate your patience and good counsel.” Board Chair

“Thank you for being so discerning and thoughtful about candidates and strengths and school cultures and chemistry. You are unique in your approach to searches. You weigh and consider and grapple with insights! Your thoroughness, instincts and measured commentaries are informed and beneficial to all.” A candidate’s comments

“I think GF&A did a wonderful job … Gregory appreciated who we were, are, and will become; he was thoughtful, fun, upbeat, and encouraging. His engaging personality and ability to target our needs with the right pool of candidates was ultimately successful; and I think we have many good years ahead with our new head. Gregory was also able to mediate without intruding and offered insights we may not have gleaned from paper alone – and interviews too.”

Your search was by far the most honest and most thorough. I have never before been offered the opportunity to respond in writing to a school’s concerns, or speak to a search committee for any meaningful length of time or have [my spouse] given real consideration so early on. …Your warmth, humor, and candor all helped make this a tremendous experience for me. As someone who has worked with just about every consultant in the country, I can say with certainty that you conducted the best search. And I would be writing this to you even if I did not get the job!!”

““One of the most delightful parts of the Head of School search was working with Gregory Floyd and Nancy Stearns. From my first meeting with Gregory, his supportive enthusiasm was contagious. Nancy and he were helpful throughout the entire process, talking me through different aspects of the various stages of interviews, providing feedback, and offering insights into the School. They communicated regularly – either by phone or by email – to keep me up-to-date and on top of the long process. I never sat wondering what was happening; instead, I felt clear about my involvement in each step of the process. As I move to take on my first headship, I am reassured that Gregory and Nancy are rooting for my success!”
